Dunwoody
Dunwoody, named for Major Charles Dunwoody, is one of the wealthiest
and most prestigious areas within metro Atlanta, in northern DeKalb County, with many elegant homes, highly-
ranked schools, and abundant shopping and entertainment. Dunwoody is also home to the well-known and prestigious
Dunwoody Country Club. The upscale Perimeter Mall and most of the Perimeter Center area of shopping and office
buildings (including several high-rises, the tallest being the 34-story Ravinia 3) are both located here.
Perimeter Center is served by the Dunwoody train station on MARTA's (Atlanta's rapid transit system) north line.
Located just outside of Atlanta's Perimeter Highway, Dunwoody is in close proximity to downtown Atlanta and yet
retains its charming and well-established Southern way of life.
